Where We Focus On

Six Towers of External Spend

You don't need an in-house procurement department. You need senior judgment applied to the external spend that actually drives cost, risk, and execution speed — across every stage from R&D to commercial.

Meet the Founder

Raphael Kleinmann

Almost three decades of global procurement leadership across specialty pharma, biotech, and medical device manufacturing, including Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, DSM, BD, and Pfizer. Built strategic sourcing functions from inception, with direct leadership spanning every one of the six towers Terrazzo covers today: preclinical lab sourcing through CDMO/CRO selection and negotiation for Phase I-III programs; the commercial agencies and media that bring a product to market; hub and patient services; medical affairs; the IT and corporate functions behind the scenes; and, at DSM, the Procure-to-Pay digitization, sourcing optimization, and operational-excellence work that became the enterprise standard across 25 sites.
At Mallinckrodt, that caliber of cross-functional partnership was formally recognized by the company's Chief Commercial Officer. At Ferring, that reach extended into the U.S. research site itself, restructuring lab-supply agreements to create real efficiencies for the scientific team and carried all the way to the other end of the product lifecycle with post-approval pharmacovigilance support.
Also Board Member and Diplomate of Logo-Philosophy at the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy, and author of “The Man Who Lost Track of Time,” a meaning-centered leadership book grounded in that same philosophy, together, the foundation behind Terrazzo's trust-centered approach to leadership and change adoption.
Holds a Master's in Supply Management (University of San Diego) and an Advanced Procurement Management certificate (Michigan State University); also an Advisory Board Member of the Consero Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Forum. Fluent in English, French, and Dutch, enabling direct negotiation with European CDMOs, CROs, and suppliers without a translation layer.
